With plenty of offers on at the centre and Christmas in full swing, there’s lots happening at Pavements. Whether you’re stuck in a present-buying rut or just want to give something unique this year, putting together a personalised Christmas hamper for someone is a great option. We show you how and give you gift ideas too.

Gift Ideas All Wrapped Up

Christmas present

Whether it’s Secret Santa with a £5 limit or splurging on your nearest and dearest, we have ideas for gifts you’d be delighted to give (or even receive) all available at Pavements.

Love it or loathe it, it’s Secret Santa season! You either get your work bestie or the new starter in the office – plus, it’s tricky to find presents under budget. Our picks for specific people are:

  • For the office organiser – Mrs Hinch: Life in Lists from WHSmith
  • For the team creative – Satzuma Infinity Notepad (3 for 2 mix & match in Boots
  • For playing it safe – Chocolates or wine from Tesco.

When it comes to mums, they are special superhumans who deserve to be pampered – think bubble bath from Bodycare and fluffy slippers from Shoe Zone. Santa loves the Laura Ashley Ultimate Bloom Collection with an elegant keepsake box from Boots. Over to dad. They’ve all got their “thing” sports, music, cooking, DIY, ales! You might find something unique in the British Heart Foundation store. You can’t go wrong with an aftershave from The Fragrance Shop.

Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend but so are Swarovski® Crystals that’s why we love Warren James. Treat her to a new outfit from Revolve.

Why not take the hubby or boyfriend shopping? Stop for festive drinks at Crown & Cushion and head to Sports Direct where footie fans are going crazy for the Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo home shirt

Finally, did someone say pawsecco? Make it a pawfect Christmas for pets with Poundland toys.

Make Your Own Hamper

Hampers make great gifts, as you can personalise them to suit whichever loved one you’re buying for.

Build your perfect hamper in five easy steps…

  1. Decide on a budget.
  2. Think of a theme – Make it personal and relevant to the recipient. Would they prefer food, beauty products, or a tipple perhaps?
  3. The basics – pick up an empty hamper or gift box, colourful shredded tissue paper and cellophane from Card Factory and Poundland.
  4. Shopping for treats – whatever the theme, Pavements has it all.
  5. Arrange the gifts by placing the tallest items first and arranging the smaller items around these. Add cellophane and ribbon.

Inspirational ideas for your themed hamper:

Food Lovers: For the coffee lover, pick up some illy coffee from Tesco. For those who love the sweet and savoury combo, be sure to add in a fruit and nut selection from Grape Tree Feel Good Foods so they can snack happy all through the festive season. Add a bottle of wine from Tesco. To make it extra special for the foodie, pop into WHSmith for a copy of ‘Together’ by Jamie Oliver.

Beautiful Babes: For trend lovers add a shampoo bar. We love cute Aussie Koality Shampoo vegan bars from Boots. Include a face mask for smooth skin from Bodycare and if you’re making more than one hamper buy a pack to keep costs down. Add a muslin cloth and exfoliating mitt.  A new beauty accessory is always a great addition and we love the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes from Grape Tree. For the tired key-worker, pop in a candle from Poundland.
